Client has a long term relationship with IE consultants. As product development projects arise, the client simply contacts IE with pertinent project information and we’re off and running. Typical projects include injection molded housings for RC electronics and prototype machine work.
Manufacturer of muzzle loader bullets
Client had an assembly machine that frequently jammed, causing severe downtime. IE was consulted and ultimately designed the solution, procured and/or machined necessary parts and installed the new gear onto the existing equipment. Problem solved, uptime increased by 50%.
Large capital equipment semiconductor OEM
Client contacted IE with request to augment its existing engineering staff and prototyping capabilities. IE placed several consultants on-site to achieve close communication and seamless integration with existing development team. Specific design projects include: wafer handling automation, electrical component selection and packaging, process vessel design, critical fluids management and frame/cabinet design.
Startup company of law enforcement gear
Client requested design, prototype and build of new security holster used in law enforcement. Over the course of 18 months, this evolved into multiple products, ten Patent applications, five injection molds, extensive reliability testing and a turn key manufacturing assembly line. This is a classic example of ideas becoming prototypes becoming products.
Manufacturer of security scanning portals (similar to metal detectors)
Client retained IE’s consultants for assist with transforming a prototype assembly into a product that is ready to manufacture. This on-site consulting effort resulted in reducing overall material cost, assembly time and improved product reliability.
